My indy filming experience

Adapting

Throughout the years I came across many different situations that caused me to think or adjust for the film/photo. The key for me to get a well flowing video or a well composted photo is to adapt. Taking what you got and not for what you want is how I try to film. One example of this is when I filmed a short film called "The Future of Parthenon laboratories". When we planned the scene where the scientist is making the glove device, we wanted that to be a factory showing that they were forcing their workers into making the glove into a harmful device. Clearly in the video, this wasn't what we showed, but the thing is that we adjusted to what he had available. We didn't have many people to come and act as workers. Another was that we didn't have access to a factory, so we just set up a table and made some mechanical looking things. Here the link to the video to show this - http://youtu.be/oZJPMEoZwB8?t=12s

Compromising

For every writer, directer, and basically everyone else, they have to compromise or they won't get far in anything. Understanding someones views on something can be vary helpful and can make you see in their own way. This can really be helpful when your filming something that doesn't feel right and with someones input it can change the scene and sense of the shot.

I don't know what else to write right now I'll come up with something soon I think.
